Agriculture’s Most Abundant Renewable Resource

The Supplant Company develops value-add ingredients using agricultural side-streams. The majority of what’s grown on farms are the structural elements of crops, such as corn cobs, oat hulls and wheat stalks. This fiber-rich resource is largely under-utilized or completely wasted. We call this the ‘Forgotten Half of the Harvest’.

Our materials are sourced from farmyards, forests and food facilities and then cleaned and ground to make the plant fiber easily accessible. Using agricultural side-streams is the most scalable way to make ingredients that are more nutritious, more sustainable and more abundant whilst also make our food system more efficient without planting a single extra crop.

Multi-Patented & Multi-Disciplinary Process

The Supplant Company’s ingredient development engine is a culmination of bioinformatics, synthetic biology, enzymology, carbohydrate chemistry, process development and application science. Using our raw material, we breakdown the long chains of plant fiber using enzymes from fungi. The material is cleaned and dried, making it suitable for a range of different production applications.

Out multi-disciplinary process has 9 granted patents to protect our methods of manufacturing, our ingredient compositions, and the uses of our ingredients in finished product applications.
